Note to

the grown-ups

In a world heaping pressure on our little ones, we take a moment to remind them 'it's ok to be a child'.

This first in a series of books shows kids how to deal with tricky or new emotions with simple breathing exercises and by focusing their minds on positive thoughts.

The Dodl series aims to bring mindfulness into children's day-to-day lives. Every book introduces a simple exercise to help them deal with all kinds of stressful situations and to have a positive impact on their overall well-being.

What is

Mindfulness is the ability to be fully aware of where we are and what we’re doing without being overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.

Mindful practice has been proven to help kids to:

  • Acknowledge their emotions

  • Develop self awareness

  • Relieve stress or anxiety

  • Improve their focus

  • Be in control of their emotions

  • Improve sleep

  • Deepen Social skills

  • Improve decision making

  • and much more!

"These are fabulous books for young people and families to start introducing simple self-help mindfulness strategies that young people can use to manage their feelings. The stories are able to provide real world relatable scenarios in which Dodl supports the character of the story to implement a mindfulness strategy to help them feel better through gentle prompts and reminders. From these stories children and young people can learn to incorporate these techniques themselves. The stories themselves are warm and gentle and are a great opportunity for young people and their families to spend quality time together."
